Aren’t smartwatches part of this kind of technology? They already measure a lot with their fine sensors. They are used for sports activity reports. I don’t own a smartwatch and have no need for one.

My biggest concern is privacy issues from the collection of my medical data, which is why I don’t use them now.

Fitbits can also count here too, I believe.

I’m alright with it. Personally I would like for it to be more integrated into my body rather than on my hand—perhaps an implant? But I guess that goes more into other areas of augmentation.

And as for that data being collected—-our data is already out there. Not much we can do about it
.

With a nice medical AI behind it, that analyses all the data produced, every sensor increases your chances of preventing an ailment before it even starts. This is one of the techs I most look forward too, a personal doctor for everyone, and that with just a few gadgets, sign me up immediately. I’ve already got an Apple Watch attached to my wrist to monitor my sleep and breathing, both bad aspects of health, it helped me a lot in sleeping better, because I know what I did wrong so to speak. It’s really, really cool stuff.
